The Cancer Registry Coordinator supervises the Cancer Registry. This includes collecting and maintaining information on all patients with a diagnosis of cancer for Rogue Valley Medical Center, Providence Medford Medical Center, Three Rivers Community Hospital campuses, Ashland Community Hospital and various physician offices.
Education:Some college level courses, including courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical science and other related courses is required. Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software also required.
Experience:Three years experience working in Cancer Registry is required.
Licensure/Certifications:Possession of a valid Oregon Driver''s License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance is required. Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) by National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) ispreferred.
Other required qualifications include excellent organizational skills and ability to review workload requirements, establish priorities and delegate appropriately to staff; and the ability to interpret data and provide limited statistical reviews.
