Position is open to (Sterile Processing ) Employees Only TRAINING POSITION: 1 YEAR POSITION TO BE TRAINED AS FOLLOWS: Works with Surgical Services and all other units within the hospital. Identifies supplies in case cart and instrument areas. Knowledge of computers, will be trained on specialized computer programs. Identifies count sheets and pick tickets for setting down cases and setting up instrument trays. Works in all areas of Sterile Processing including, decontamination, assembly, sterilization and distribution of instruments. Will work with all forms of sterilizers. MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school or equivalent. Able to read labels, stock lists, instrument lists. Able to write in equipment log. MINIMUM
Experience: On the job training REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/ LICENSURE: CSPT (certified sterile processing tech) within three years of hire into this position. PREFERRED
Experience: Previous operating room or central supply processing experience.
