Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant

We seek a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to assist our financial reporting and accounting policy areas. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy, this position includes preparing internal and external reporting in accordance to GAAP and as required by management, assisting in the financial statement and 401(K) audit, liaison to treasury department and perform technical accounting research and writing of accounting position memos.
Required Skills:
What you'll do:
Create monthly, quarterly and annual internal financial reporting packages to company-wide management
Create all external reporting to company partners including investors, bankers, and vendors
Prepare monthly cash flow statement in accordance with GAAP
Coordinate and prepare audit work papers for interim and annual financial statement audit, 401(k) audit and lender audits, including assist in the timely completion of the financial statement audit
Assist in drafting the annual consolidated financial statements and 401(k) financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Perform technical accounting research and writing of accounting position memos
Support treasury department to ensure treasury transactions are recorded properly in the general ledger, including development and review of complex spreadsheets and journal entries
Calculate monthly, quarterly and annual covenants, including prepare supporting documentation and assist in forecasting covenants
Support of special projects

Experience:
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA required (may be inactive)
Five plus years of related experience, including public accounting
Experienced in the application of GAAP and financial reporting
Experienced in Utilizing a financial reporting application (Hyperion Essbase a plus)
Retail and/or financial services industry experience preferred
Good understanding of internal controls over financial reporting (Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance)
Must be organized and detailed oriented
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including ability to create complex functions and spreadsheet
