Job Description SUMMARY
Works with the users of computer systems to create solutions that improve business processes.This includes helping users evaluate the feasibility and cost benefit of proposed solutions, providing estimates of the proposed work, and finally developing, implementing, and supporting these solutions.Position typically works on several moderate to complex projects simultaneously under general supervision.In addition, this position provides direction to other technical personnel, is responsible for after-hours support, and requires occasional travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs, codes, tests, and analyzes software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, debugging, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the entire production lifecycle
Responsible for maintaining several major applications and considered proficient in several business system functions
Works on several moderate to complex projects simultaneously with general supervision
Performs functional/technical analysis and design of innovative solutions using advanced computer concepts and techniques
Assists in the feasibility and cost benefit study of small to major projects
Provides direction to other technical personnel
Develops detail logical diagrams and program specifications
Develops and maintains a comprehensive library of support documentation
Works effectively with other support team members and IT
Responsible for after-hour support on selected systems
Required to travel on occasion
Complies with company policies; work rules; safety requirements; quality standards; and applicable local, state, and federal legislation
Performs other related duties as needed and assigned
Reports directly to Application Manager
QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum Education and Experience Required)
Five plus years of progressive experience in application design and development
A four-year computer science degree, related degree or equivalent work experience
Experience with time critical production support
Experience supporting multiple distribution centers
Experience supporting multiple applications with multiple priorities

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
