Purpose
The Network Administrator II provides end-user support and ensures all network users can access appropriate network resources. Ensures network integrity by performing account maintenance, daily backups, creating system baselines, system monitoring, and documenting the network configuration. Responsible for tracking all work performed by utilizing the helpdesk system.
Major Tasks
Designs a secure network infrastructure for high availability and to the meet the needs of the company.
Installs, configures and troubleshoots network components such as routers, switches, firewalls and wireless controllers.
Creates and maintains network documentation such as physical & logical network topology diagrams, as-built documentation, rack elevations, and operational procedures.
Deploys and maintains network tools to monitor network health status and trend network performance.
Develops network configuration backup and restore strategies.
Perform daily network administrative tasks such as review access logs, assign security permissions, and perform daily backups of network infrastructure.
Ensures all network resources are available and accessible by properly authorized personnel at all times.
Accurately maintains the inventory database of network infrastructure systems as well as warranty information, support agreements, modification history, software & service packs installed, and physical location.
Ensures all computer programs in company use are properly licensed, adhere to company standards, and are operational and functional at all times.
Provides accurate time and resource requirements for assigned tasks and meets deadlines.
Manages projects to achieve department and company goals by coordinating with other IT Specialists, other departments, corporate IT and vendors to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and in accordance to predefined standards.
Develops, designs, analyzes, and budgets on projects assigned by the IT Manager.
Manages multiple tasks and projects to schedule, ensuring requirements are met. Reports on progress weekly and measures against goals/initiatives to management for meeting project objectives.
Fosters effective, continuous communication and expedient problem resolution by interacting in a positive, professional manner with all departments, employees at all levels and external contacts.
Effectively communicates with Vendors by escalating problem in a timely manner.
Assists in the accomplishment of company objectives by performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline
Generally 2-5 years experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas or MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field.
Cisco CCNP Certification or equivalent experience
Ability to work the extra hours as needed and be on-call as required. Ability to work in any location as needed.
Extensive experience with DNS, DHCP, VoIP, TFTP, and other network protocols.
Expert working knowledge of TCP/IP v4
Strong working knowledge of network & routing protocols, such as, EIGRP, OSPF, CDP, Spanning Tree, HSRP, multicast, QoS
Strong working knowledge of converged networks with Data, Voice and Video
Strong network infrastructure troubleshooting skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
Strong working Knowledge of SNMP
Strong working knowledge of Windows 7 & Server 2008
Working knowledge of TCP/IP v6
Preferred
Working knowledge of Solarwinds
Working knowledge of TelePresence
Working knowledge of CUCM
CCIE Certification
Competencies Required on Day 1

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
