QC/PPAP Technician
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Manufacturing floor and Customer Communications
REPORTS TO: Quality Manager
POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Responsible for fulfilling the role of MSP Quality and PPAP Technician. Ensure that required PPAPs are done correctly and in a timely manner. Support quality, engineering and production departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and
Responsibilities:
PPAPS/New Parts:
Analyze customer drawing and create numbered prints
Determine the most accurate and efficient measurement technique for each dimension
Use AQUA computer software to create all necessary documents
Create gage work instructions from the print provided
Create controlled documents to be issued to production (print, control plan, gage work instructions)
Once first run of parts are completed and verified, submit PPAP to the customer for approval
QC Engineer
Responsibilities:
Perform First Article Inspections
Design Gages using AutoCad
Gage Set ups
Fix and/or repair gages
Order any Gages needed
Proficiency in all aspects using inspection equipment (Comparator, Keyence, Zeis Contour, etc.)
Set up SPC data collection programs for new job studies and X-R charts using Quantum SPC Software and interpret statistical results
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal - Regularly interact with Production Department
External - Interaction with Customers as required
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Technical
Qualifications:
High School Diploma-B.S. Degree Preferred
Blue Print reading and understanding.
At least five years experience in the quality control field. Preferably would be familiar with automotive quality systems and documentation usage. (e.g. TS16949, ISO).
Preferred Technical
Qualifications:
Technical knowledge of machining processes.
ASQ certified
