GENERAL
Summary: Reporting to the Department Coordinator and according to department protocols and nursing standards, assesses, cares for and teaches the pre and post pulmonary and cardiac catheterization patient. In doing so, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served by the unit. Sets-up the procedure and recovery room with necessary equipment, supplies and instruments, and administers medications to patients as ordered by the physician. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 1. The job incumbent is required to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit(s). This requires that the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the princi ples of growth and devel opment as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served. 2. Work requires a professional level of knowledge of nursing practice and theory at a level that generally can be acquired by completion and graduation from a two year training program at an accredit ed School of Nursing . ACLS Certification within 6 months is required, if not already ACLS Certified. 3. Current State license as a Registered Nurse required . Requires one year of experience; prefer critical care experience. 4. Work requires three to six months of unit specific orientation and on-the-job training to learn department/unit policies, procedures and work routines; to develop proficiencies in use of equipment and surgical instru ments; to learn nursing care and quality assur ance stan dards; and gain an understanding of the types of invasive, diagnostic and interventional procedures performed by unit. Nurse is also proficient in administering IV sedation. (length of orientation may vary depending on employees level of experience.) 5. Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to comfort patients, family members and/or significant others; to communicate effectively and concisely with other patient care providers; and to instruct patients, family members and/or significant others. 6. Work requires analytical ability necessary to assess patients'' physical and emotional condition and to setup, troubleshoot and operate various pieces of equipment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
