Job Details:
High School Graduate. Accurately and efficiently performs pre-registration, registration, authorization, and verification functions in order to process patients of all ages for procedures and admissions and enters this information into a computer system. Interviews patients, patient''s families, insurance companies or doctor office staff to obtain all necessary information to establish an initial account for billing. Collaborates with appropriate resources to assign beds following applicable admission/discharge/transfer criteria. Prior experience in a hospital environment or insurance company preferred. Prior experience in registration, medical terminology, scheduling or billing functions preferred. PC, keyboarding experience necessary. Types no less than 40 WPM.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
