Looking for a strong Java Developer with proven experience in building enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, development, maintenance, and enhancements of worldwide business applications. Demonstrated application/software engineering experience creating distributed applications using Java, Swing, Web Services, JPA, JAX-WS.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain java based applications
Assist in the design effort and provide work estimates. Design, code and test software with limited supervision.
Follow all appropriate design, development, and testing specifications.
Collaborate with team members and internal customers to define customer requirements and system interfaces.
Ability to leverage a background in technologies as well as an understanding of the latest technologies and their impact on product development.
Procedural and Object Oriented design.
Analyze, debug & resolve medium-complexity application software problems.
System integration design and development.
Provide standard documentation for all phases of application development.
Understand the business function(s) supported by the application software.
Provide a high level of customer service, partner with end-users in the resolution of application problems or in the deployment of new software applications.
Other duties as required.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required or equivalent technical training and work experience.
SKILLS:
5
plus years Java programming in Java 6
Java EE technology (JPA, EJB3, JAX-WS, etc.)
Ability to deliver functionality in a fast-paced environment as part of an Agile team - Familiarity with Scrum is a bonus.
Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware (OSB, ODSI, SOA Suite)a plus
Java Swing experience a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Extensive sitting, phone and computer use.
Some travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
General office environment.
Normal office noise level, with occasional moderate noise.
