The Ag Trainee position is a great entry-level opportunity for an energetic, self-starting individual with an interest and background in agriculture. As an Ag Trainee, you will be actively involved with several key business areas including: Sales, Sales Administration, Parts Operations, Product Support, Marketing, and Guidance Technology. After completing 4-6 months of foundational training and assignments at several of our branch locations, opportunities for placement will be evaluated in all areas of exposure during the trainee program with emphasis on sales and customer support positions. The Ag Trainee program has proven to be an important step on the pathway to promotion in all key business areas, including sales and management roles.
To be considered a candidate for the Ag Trainee position, you must be willing to relocate to the Shakopee, MN area for the initial 4-6 month trainee program as well as be willing to relocate to any of Ziegler''s Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, or Missouri branch locations upon completion of the Ag Trainee program.
Responsibilities:
Takes time to learn company''s organizational structure
Communicates on a consistent basis with direct supervisor
Asks questions and actively engages with the people responsible for training in assigned department
Promotes Ziegler at trade-shows or other company events
Tracks expenses and turns in expense reports in a timely manner
Bachelor's degree in related field
Previous ag industry experience
Willing to relocate
Mechanical proficiency
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Sales experience is a plus
Highly motivated and driven personality
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Clean driving record required
