The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. As a professional, the Registered Nurse contributes to the smooth operation of the nursing unit by being a role model, providing leadership to other staff, delegating and evaluating nursing care and participating in the training and mentoring of new staff on the unit. The Registered Nurse applies and implements the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Gateway Medical Center promoting good public relations while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality and satisfaction.
Education / License / Certification:
Currently licensed in the State of Tennessee or compact state as a Registered Nurse in good standing
Current BLS
NRP certification within 6 months of hire
STABLE certification within 6 months of hire
Experience / Skills:
Prior experience with normal newborns
Attention to detail and concentration
Ability to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment
Ability to effectively communicate with all members of the health care team
Obstetrics (Labor & Delivery , Maternal Child)
Organization: Gateway Medical CenterEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
