KIK''s Custom Division contract manufacturing network consists of 5 locations throughout North America. KIK predominantly manufactures leading National Brand products for Fortune 500 companies KIK Indiana. located in Elkhart is our largest campus and collectively contain 10 aerosol lines, 7 liquid lines, 3 tube lines, and 2 packaging lines. KIK''s Elkhart facility procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety aerosol and liquid personal care, pharmaceutical, and OTC consumer packaged goods.
We are searching for a dynamic _ Human Resources Business Partner _/ Manager to lead and manage the entire HR function of a large CPG manufacturing facility (700 FTE union and non union employee mix). In addition to mentoring and leading the activities of 2 HR team members, you will provide proactive HR services to support KIK's organizational values and objectives while collaborating with site leaders, interacting with all levels of employees while walking the production floor, collaborating with the Divisional & Corporate HR Group, and other Plant HRM peers in the network. Successful candidate is a sharp and well-rounded HR Leader with excellent change management skills and generalist background, who thrives in a fast-paced production atmosphere, is hands-on, and is a charismatic leader and executor, with a desire for growth.
Day-to-Day
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations , disciplinary processes and investigations: enhance employee relations and other employee programs, policies and procedures and ensure compliance
Labor Relations - Handles Grievance administration and Labor negotiations (recent contract negotiated 3/2014)
Employment Law : Ensure compliance is adhered to with regards to all relevant human resources related legislation.
Compensation: Responsible for salary and benefits administration
Talent Acquisition and Retention - Oversees overall recruitment process and reporting and retention programs
Best Practices: Identify and communicate HR best practices to all levels of employee groups
Performance Management / Training - through knowledge transfer and coaching, assist client group to acquire skills and knowledge for effectively handling and resolving employees'' issues and change management. and performance evaluation programs, employment training.
Coaching / Counseling - Deliver coaching, guidance and support relevant to the needs of client groups in areas such as: talent management, leadership skills, and employee engagement. Provide advice, guidance and assistance to all management and supervisory staff on interpretation and administration of HR policies and programs to legal and procedural compliance
Special Projects - Ability to network to get the job done and work on local, cross-site Divisional & Corporate HR improvement projects, will lead the rollout of various HR based programs and initiatives and projects.
Ideal Candidate will possess:
Bachelor's degree with a focus in human resources or related discipline, MBA or graduate degree is an asset
PHR, SPHR preferred
At least 7 to 10 years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Manager with strong Generalist background in a fast-paced, expanding, World Class Manufacturing environment.
Experience managing HR in a union environment
Experienced administering Plant level Human Resources for a FTE population of at least 700 employees in combined union and non-union production environment. Company supplements temp employment for seasonal work-managed onsite by temp service.
Must be ready for accelerated growth and additional responsibility, with clear capability to grow at least one more level in the organization
Teamwork and collaborative working style
Strong communicator and influencer
MS Office Products skills.
