SW Development Engineer for Broadband Voice/Video/Data products. Position consists of developing, maintaining and enhancing embedded Linux software Applications which run on MIPS-based microprocessors in a broad family of CPE products.
Compensation: $70,000 $80,000
Position requirement include:
BSCS or BSEE degree , MS degree preferred
Minimum of three years direct experience in development of embedded real-time C language application code modules for products based on the Linux Operating System.
Strong working knowledge of voice/data communication protocols and standards
- (VoIP, PPP, DHCP, RADIUS, Routing, NAT, Bridging, VLANs)
Strong working knowledge of LAN/WLAN/WAN communications technologies
- (Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, DSL)
Strong working knowledge of management applications and protocols
- (SNMP, TR-069, XML, HTTP, Javascript)
Experience developing SW for Linux-based microprocessor systems. Seeking candidates with prior experience developing embedded SW for Broadcom datacomm CPE devices.
Experience with Software Source Control systems and development tools
- (ClearCase, JIRA, cscope)
Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to interface effectively with local and remote project team members.
Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
