Inver Hills Community College seeks a Development Associate to oversee the alumni affairs, manage the scholarship award function, plan and coordinate special events and fundraisers, administer Blackbaud Constituent Management System, and provide professional level administrative support to the Executive Director of the Foundation and Foundation Board of Directors.

Appointment: Unlimited full-time.
Pay Range: $35,997 $52,075 annually, depending on qualifications and years of related work experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and grow the Alumni Program to cultivate alumni as donors and volunteers for the IHCC Foundation and the college.
Organize events and create ways to maintain regular contacts with alumni.
Work closely with the Marketing Department to develop publications geared to alumni.
Provide professional support to the Alumni Associations Board of Directors.
Direct the Colleges Scholarship program to distribute Foundation-raised scholarship funds.
Administer Blackbaud Constituent Management System to produce reports on donors, campaigns and fiscal year giving.
Plan and execute all fund/friend-raising events to cultivate strong participation from alumni, friends of the college, and IHCC employees.
Provide General Fundraising duties. Plan and execute the annual appeals to current alumni, past, lapsed, and non-alumni donors.
Assist in preparation of grant applications.
Assist with the Foundation Board of Directors administrative duties. Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Experience managing programs that serve multiple constituencies
Experience monitoring budgets
Strong written, verbal and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to develop a strong, cooperative working relationship with campus employees and alumni
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work with volunteers and effectively interact with the public
Ability to lead others to complete the objectives of the Foundation Office
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
High level of accuracy and attention to details
Professional and positive approach, and a service-oriented attitude
Preferred
Qualifications:
Two years of fundraising experience in higher education and/or a non-profit organization
Experience establishing donor/member relations
Knowledge of colleges programs, resources, services, procedures and policies
Experience with Constituent Management System software such as Blackbaud
Experience with event planning and coordination
Database management experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
