Weyerhaeuser's Longview Sort Yard is hiring a multi skilled mechanic. We are seeking individuals who desire to work in a market-focused, raw materials export facility while maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic.

Key Functions:
Welding and fabrication
Millwright and heavy equipment
General machine assembly and machine alignment
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
LeTourneau high voltage troubleshooting and repair, log stacker, log shovel, bucket loader, forklift, and bobcat repair experience is preferred
Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
Handle multiple projects
Troubleshoot and problem-solve
Perform preventive maintenance
Flow to work across job boundaries
Learn new jobs and skills
Seniority based shift preference of days, swing, weekend, and graveyard
This is a union position. The work force is represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM).

Pay starts at $21.65 with step progression to $26.616 plus shift differential, if applicable, after the probationary period. Initial step placement will depend on experience; step progression is a requirement of employment. Holiday pay, vacation pay, pension, health and welfare, and 401k benefits are provided. Successful completions of a pre-employment physical, drug test and background check are required.

Requirements:
All applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or have a GED.
Have a solid work history and be totally committed to safety. Safety and the prevention of injuries and unsafe conditions is our highest priority. The ability to work safely is required and includes strict adherence to log yard safety procedures, taking the personal initiative to work safely one-hundred percent of the time, contributing to the safety of your other team members, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Must have excellent listening and communication skills; ability to demonstrate open, honest and regular exchange of information; and treat all employees with respect and dignity.
Experience with welding, fabrication, millwright, heavy equipment, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and general machine assembly and machine alignment, and perform preventative maintenance.
LeTourneau high voltage troubleshooting and repair, log stacker, log shovel, bucket loader, forklift, and bobcat repair experience is preferred.
Demonstrate willingness and ability to read/interpret shop drawings and blueprints, handle multiple projects effectively, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, willing to flow to work across job boundaries, and learn new jobs and skills.
Must be team oriented; put team's needs ahead of individual interests; work to develop trust and respect; take initiative and solve issues; accept personal accountability for team's plans and results.
