The Senior Sustaining Engineer will sustain existing software products developed by the team and acquired from other development teams.
In this position you will be responsible for troubleshooting & documenting software issues, as well as working closely with cross functional teams to test the software and execute fixes as needed.
This is hands on development position and requires good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

1. Typically at least an undergraduate computer science degree, though this may be waived in extraordinary circumstances; 6-9 years hands-on relevant software product experience.
2. Career must be in software sustaining, unit test and automation engineering. Prior experience with developing unit test and automation is required. Prior experience in software product development is required.
3. C+
and Java Developer with 5-7 years experience in object oriented software development. Scripting experience with Python or Perl is required. Programming experience in test automation is required.
4. Java experience must include Core Java, Persistence, Reflection, Annotations, Threads and JNI. Development tools must include ANT and Eclipse
5. Experience developing applications and drivers for Windows and unix.
6. Strong English language communication skills (written and spoken) are required.

Preferred:
1. Expertise in developing software for data management applications like Replication, Backup, Archiving, etc
