Job Description
This is a limited term summer position (June, July & August), working with School Age Children.
Is able to maintain a professional attitude toward the children, families and co-workers and communicate openly and professionally. Have knowledge of children''s changing developmental abilities, as well as implement planned activities created by the classroom teacher or self. Initiate and participate openly in communication with classroom teachers in regards to information about children. Provide information for parents regarding children upon arrival or pick up. Ensure confidentiality, health, safety and security. Participate actively in continuous improvement projects and be willing to fulfill job responsibilities in accordance with the program's philosophy.
Basic
Qualifications:
Elementary Education course work and experience Current BLS certification.
Other
Qualifications:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Demonstrate knowledge and skills consistent with developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education. Has an understanding and knowledge of state licensing regulations. Participates in and initiates open communication with classroom teachers and parents regarding children's behavior and daily activities.
License or Certification:
Current Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification.

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: Full time: 80 hours every 2 weeks
Schedule Details: Monday - Friday Hours may vary; 7:00 am - 6:30 pm
Weekend Schedule: NA
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $9.82 per hour.
