POSITION SUMMARY
New graduate Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse returning to practice after three (3) years away from acute care practice setting. It is considered an entry level professional nurse who is able to provide safe and effective patient care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience in healthcare environment (i.e LPN, EMT, PCT)
2. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
3. Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligible to take the
Virginia State Board of Nursing examination.
4. Maintains current BLS certification. Additional certifications may be necessary for specialty areas.
5. Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
6. Must competently perform the practice of professional nursing.
7. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform all functions involved in safe patient handling.
8. Must be able to perform all functions involved in CPR
9. Must work 2 years in New Graduate Float before eligible to transfer to Float Pool and receive a pay increase.
