The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the Maintenance Department and its activities in accordance with OSHA and plant policies and procedures. The Maintenance Manager must be dependable and timely. Work well as a team or individually while maintaining a positive attitude. The Maintenance Manager will ensure smooth and safe production operation during shifts, train and coach maintenance employees to perform efficiently and safely, and assist in new equipment installation or existing equipment modifications.
Responsibilities Include
Primary accountability will be to support the facility by maintaining the equipment in the plant at optimal condition
Performing preventative maintenance on the equipment, as needed, and overhauling the equipment when necessary
Focus on a variety of plant maintenance, repair, and installation operations as assigned and directed by the General Manager
Troubleshoot an determine appropriate repairs, replace defective parts as needed and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
Assemble, install, test, and inspect machines and equipment
Maintain and complete required maintenance/inventory records of all repairs and materials
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Job Skills
Prefer 5 years of Industrial Maintenance Management/Supervisory experience.
Possess a thorough knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical and other automation devices required
Must have a good mechanical and electrical aptitude and good communication skills.
Ability to lead and supervise the maintenance team
Computer experience searching and ordering online
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs on a repetitive basis for 8 - 12 hrs a day
Must be able to walk/stand on a concrete floor for regular work shift (approx. 8-12 hrs a day, 5-6 days/week)
Must be able to work varied shifts - sometimes overtime is required
Must be able to wear metatarsal guard steel toed boots during a regular shift
Must be able to perform repetitive motion jobs using hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, back, legs, and knees
Must be able to raise arms over head and hold objects for a period of time
Must be able to perform simple math calculations and read a tape measure
Must be detail, safety, and quality oriented
Must be able to handle stressful situations well
Must be able to work quickly in an extremely fast paced environment
Must be willing to work until the job is finished in extreme temperatures of hot and cold
Must be self-motivated and a quick learner
Must pass 75 lb lift test
Must at least be 18 yrs old
