Summary:
This position performs analyses which are used as a basis for operational changes and product shipment.
##### Job Responsibilites:
1.Understand and practice good laboratory and plant safety skills.
2.Maintain effective working relationship with the laboratory and production department.
3.Must be able to perform routine analyses of water, product, and process stream samples.
4.Reports analytical results directly to the operating units as well as the Laboratory Supervisor.
5.Remain aware of product specifications and process stream analytical parameters.
6.Initiate a re-sampling or retesting at any time samples or results are suspect.
for efficient analyses of routine plant processes and reporting any irregularities on a timely basis.
8.Maintain a cost conscious attitude through proper care of equipment and conservation of chemicals.
9.Maintain daily written records of all tests performed and submit these to Laboratory Supervisor.
10.Performs all other tasks as assigned by Laboratory Supervisor and as needed to help solve plant issues.

##### Position Scope/Contribution:
This position provides competent, timely, practical diagnosis, analysis, and advice on plant-wide problems by applying his/her expertise in chemistry, laboratory techniques, and knowledge of the plant processes and equipment. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all products shipments meet the appropriate specifications. This position ensures that the routine water, process and product analyses are completed, recorded, and communicated in a timely, accurate fashion and that non-routine analyses are completed with a heightened sense of urgency and accuracy, in a problem-solving mode.
These responsibilities require a good understanding of the plant processes, their interdependency, and plant priorities.
Technical competence, the ability to train others, and the ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with others are very important in this position. This position has a major impact upon plant success by controlling off-spec shipments. The job frequently requires extra hours of work to accommodate the needs of a 24-hour continuous process manufacturing plant.
##### Additional Information:
BS or BA degree, preferably in Chemistry
Chemical or manufacturing plant technical knowledge and/or related work experience
Must be able to lift 10 to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Capable of working twelve hour shifts, (4-twelve hour days, off four days, 4-twelve hour nights).
Must be able to ascend and descent stairs and ladders up to 30 foot in height as needed.
Must be certified to wear respirators.

Schedule Type: Full TimeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
