2014 Summer Internship - Mechanical Engineer (Sophmore Status)
Cobham Mission Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Davenport, Iowa facility. She/he will work for a dynamic team in a fast-paced, aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
_Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:_
Conducts analysis and designs mechanical products
Works with technicians to research and improve methods and designs of existing and new product lines
Creates and works with designers/drafters to develop mechanical designs in Pro-E
Performs duties under tight tolerances
Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
Attend corporate events provided for interns
Prepare a final presentation for Senior Leadership
_Required Qualifications:_
Sophmore status towards B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Must have a 3.0 GPA
Minimum 0-5 year''s experience (Student Engineer or Co-op Program)
Regulations require applicants to be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States.

Qualifications:_
Experience with Pro-E, knowledge of CATIA and ANSYS a plus
Experience with ASME Y14.5M - knowledgeable in the application and interpretation of Y14.5M a plus
Understanding of electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and controls desired
Ability to analyze and solve problems

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
