Summary:
The Marketing Program Manager works closely with product management, sales and the creative team to create and develop marketing programs that maximize lead-generation and sales conversion. DAT Solutions is the market leader in providing SAAS solutions to the trucking/transportation industry. Founded 36 years ago, DAT delivers a wide variety of products and services that improve the operational efficiency of freight brokers, trucking companies, manufacturers and distributors.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a dynamic corporate marketing or ad agency environment for companies who market/sell products online and use an inside sales force. Strong writing skills, great interpersonal communication abilities, and a demonstrated ability to solve marketing problems with innovative solutions is critical. Candidates must be able to document their success in achieving measurable results to be considered.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with product management, sales management, engineering, and outside agencies to ensure clear communication of program goals and deliverables.
Participate with the Marketing Director and other marketing team members in developing, managing and presenting strategic marketing programs with the purpose of generating leads and converting sales.
Campaign ideation, development and delivery.
Help to grow our prospect databases and deepen our customer relationships through a broad range of online and other communications.
Ensure product positioning is effectively communicated and reaches the appropriate target audience.
Represent our company outside of the office by attending external events, such as trade shows and industry conferences.
Work with the web and creative teams to ensure that marketing programs are implemented on our web site and in other supporting collateral material.
Accountable for marketing ROI associated with the programs developed, keeping them on budget and on time.
Creates strategies and implements programs supporting channel partners and re-sellers of our products.
Regularly reports on status and results of marketing campaigns and programs.
Complete other duties as assigned to meet company goals.
Required Skills and
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience with a software company or equivalent agency experience.
Experience in managing and executing B2B direct marketing customer lead generation and acquisition programs. Experience executing e-mail marketing programs.
Understand database marketing, familiar with CAN-SPAM and online communication best practices and work closely with the database marketing specialist to develop and execute related marketing programs.
Must have strong copy editing skills. Copywriting experience a plus.
Excellent verbal skills and a history of developing and delivering C-level presentations.
Experience in managing and delivering Webinars and face-to-face live presentations.
Experience in working with and managing external vendor / partner relationships.
Experience working on joint marketing programs with channel partners.
Creative, with a results-oriented focus. An active listener who also has the courage and self-confidence to speak his/her own mind as is appropriate in an environment of dynamic personalities.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with other team members, including internal and external customers, sales team, etc.
Analytical thinking, self motivation and a sense of urgency. Ability to work within tight and often-changing deadlines.
BA/BS in Marketing, Journalism, Business or equivalent.
