MATERIAL AND SUPPLY TECHNICIAN
Pay Range: $18.85 - $25.05/hr
North Pacific Paper Company (NORPAC), produces printing paper grades for publishers in the United States and Japan. NORPAC is a joint venture between Weyerhaeuser and Nippon Paper Industries of Japan. Located at Weyerhaeuser's manufacturing complex in Longview, WA, this facility can manufacture more than 750,000 metric tons of paper annually
This is a salaried non-exempt full time position.
The storeroom team consists of five team members responsible for NORPAC's storeroom. The storeroom team flows to work continuously and the new Team Member will start in the Receiving job and be expected to learn parts of every function over time to support our flow to work environment.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
Maintain a safe, clean and environmentally responsible work area.
Serve storeroom customers:
- Receive goods purchased
- Kit and deliver parts
- Open / disassemble crates
- Outbound shipping of items
- Operate forklift and dock truck
- Operate shop crane
- Maintain the work order room
Maintain control of inventory:
- Cyclical monthly inventory
- Excess & obsolete inventory disposal
Accurate computer entry (SAP)
Interface with Accounting
Shutdown coverage as required
Rotate Safety Rep responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrate safety first attitude.
Experience in Storeroom/Inventory control environment.
Service oriented and good people skills.
Ability to flow to work.
Detail oriented.
Good computer skills.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Basic rigging knowledge.
Basic parts knowledge (pumps, motors, valves, etc).
Ability to obtain a mobile equipment license.
Physically capable of steadily moving and shelving various weight packages/materials at various heights.
Ability to lift/move heavy objects with proper equipment.
Experience in dealing fairly and ethically with vendors/suppliers and fellow employees.
