Responsible to collect, verify, and accurately document all necessary information for financial processing of patients. Insures the proper insurance company, plan choice, prioritization and billing address are assigned in the hospital information system. Obtains signature on admission consent, proof of patient identification and insurance coverage. Verifies insurance and obtains preauthorization for services as assigned. Responsible to assist patients in understanding their financial obligation and seeks payment of a deposit for clinical services.
