The Emergency Department Registered Nurse applies the nursing process to all ages requiring care for a variety of illnesses and injury. The scope involves the assessment analysis, nursing diagnosis, outcome, planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations in a variety of presentation. This practice also includes the delivery of compassionate care through education and competency.
Education / License / Certification:
Current registered nurse license in the State of Tennessee or compact state in good standing required
Certification (current) in BLS required
ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire required
Experience / Skills:
Prior experience in Emergency Department specialty preferred
Analytical skills necessary to care for patients, to implement effective nursing care, ability to problem-solve.
Interpersonal communications skills
Attention to detail and concentration
Ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environmentEmergency Services (ED, ER)
Organization: Gateway Medical CenterEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
