Job Description
SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking multiple Archaeological Field Technician positions within our Cultural Resources program for our Sheridan, Wyoming office. These positions are temporary full-time positions. Depending on workload, overtime is possible. The pay rate for these positions will be based on individual qualifications and experience. When project travel is required, travel time is paid along with per diem. Hotel room accommodations and field vehicles are provided during field work.

Responsibilities:
Working in the field under the supervision of Field Directors in the performance of archaeological fieldwork
Conducting archaeological site recording, survey, testing, and data recovery
Contributing to a team-oriented environment
Providing quality field paperwork and data
Completing required safety training provided by SWCA
Assisting with site mapping responsibilities in the field, including collection of GPS data using Trimble units and assisting with tablet data gathering
Job
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field is required
Archaeology field school or equivalent experience is required
Knowledge and experience with archaeological survey and excavation techniques and methodology is required
Minimum of 1 year archaeology fieldwork experience
Candidates must be able to travel and be able to conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather conditions, often in rugged terrain and sometimes at high altitudes, and be able to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds for distances between seven and 12 miles per day

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
