Production Technician

Primary Function
This position requires a strong live audio capability as well as camera operation skills to support a variety of live events, webcasts and studio and field production. Working as a part of a technical team you will be required to set-up, troubleshoot and manage equipment resources for successful capture and completion and delivery of projects.
Responsibilities & Duties
Record sound and live mix for webcasts, video, stage events, interviews and meetings
Using a variety of boards, microphones and technologies, be responsible for switching, mixing and quality control of audio sources for live and taped production
Independently set up and operate studio audio control room to facilitate studio, auditorium productions or webcasts
Perform set-up, testing, operation and break down of sophisticated audio equipment
Work cooperatively with a production team to capture the highest possible quality recording
Operate camera, teleprompter, act as grip/gaffer for studio & field productions
In support of global productions, work with technical team to prepare video production equipment for shipping & delivery
Organize equipment inventory and find creative solutions for most effective use of equipment
Perform duties in support of webcasting projects
Requirements & Experience
Familiarity with Audio Mixing and knowledge of professional wireless microphone operation
ENG/EFP audio mixing experience preferred
DP/Camera operation skills; working familiarity with professional cameras by Sony, Panasonic, Canon
Knowledge of lighting techniques and instruments
Able to perform well in a deadline driven, high profile environment
Willingness to learn clients proprietary equipment and applications
Must work well in teams and be comfortable both giving direction and receiving it from others yet at times able to shoot independently without supervision.
Professional presence and ease in interfacing directly with Executive Staff and Management
Physical Demands
The duties of this position require the ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders and to stand for long periods of time
Candidate may be required to lift heavy equipment up to 75 pounds
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Music, Video Production or related field preferred
