Summary:
Assist IS leadership in working to ensure the smooth operation of hospital's systems and applications, while providing excellent customer service. Expected to work independently, perform duties in a proactive manner and act in a management/supervisory capacity as needed.
Core
Responsibilities:
Provides systems and programming support of enterprise-wide clinical computer systems.
Provides impact analysis, applications system design and support including SQL and other database applications and specialty administration applications.
Ensuring the smooth operation of CPH's systems and application, validating technology recommendations, disaster avoidance planning, and ensuring applications/systems are operating at peak performance levels.
Designs solution necessary to meet the institutional goals of quality patient care, cost containment, and operational efficiency in a best practice cost effective manner.
Troubleshoots and solves complex system / applications problems with limited assistance and external assistance.
Routinely acts as project managers and/or technical consultants, defining customer needs and system requirements.
Act as a mentor to other members of the IT/IS team and to customers outside the IT/IS department.
Responsible for documenting system support procedures used by the IT/IS staff and ensuring that these procedures are efficient and up to date.
May serve as Tier 2 or 3 technical support.
Communicates with customers and peers in a courteous, professional, and customer oriented manner.
Required
Experience:
6 or more years in a related position within a corporate IS/IT Operations Center, Clinical Informatics, or consulting position
At least 6 years analysis experience and ability to pass a CPH competency examination on :
Meditech
SQL
Crystal Reports
Other Clinical application.
Extensive knowledge of software infrastructure, design, and implementation.
Meditech analysis experience (6.0 is a plus)
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Server 2000-2008, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, IIS and other related software.
System management skills applied toward installed computer hardware, software, and related peripherals.
