This is a Senior Resident role that would entail working at the customers site and interfacing to clients Product Engineering activities in a matrix organization, working with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering, suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, test engineering and quality. It would report directly to the Product Development Manager and matrix to the Program Manager. The Candidate will support the development and application of designs for various vehicle line applications. As Resident engineer, the candidate would have daily interface with the customer engineering team, communicating on program and engineering status, assisting customer is resolution of technical and diagnostic concerns that arise in product development, and providing a strong communication link between PD and the customer organizations.
Responsibilities Include:
Key Customer interface and general support to the PD and Program Managers
Support internal cross functional development with PD and Systems Groups.
Perform / submit / maintain release drawings, ICDs, change logs, and work orders
Ability to become proficient on various customer and client processes/databases/tools.
Ability to perform system analysis, diagnosis, and requirements analysis at customer site
Understanding of mechanical and electrical vehicle interfaces and impact upon product performance
Capability in use of SW reflash and CAN diagnostic tools
Support production launch activities, including at assembly sites
Experience:
5
years of experience in Automotive Engineering, working in product development with a preferred focus on electronics and module design.
Good communication skills and experience working with customer.
Good organizational skills and ability to meet schedules
Knowledge of and understanding of automotive electronics manufacturing processes a plus.
Use of vehicle diagnostic analysis and modeling tools to perform electronics system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Knowledge of laboratory tools for performing product analysis and testing
BSEE RequiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
