Job Details:
The Health Coach delivers direct care to individual clients participating in the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Program.The focus of interaction with clients will be coaching for weight loss, exercise and nutrition. Major Duties : Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital s strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement with client via telephone, computer and in weekly meetings.Schedules weekly 15 minute meetings with each anthropometric on each client weekly.Reviews daily food intake log and gives feedback to health coaching to clients to help ensure their success in the program.Assists in the sale andmaintenance of food product inventory.Assists in the marketingof the Ideal Protein program through participation atcommunity seminars.Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Preferred -Expert knowledge of health coaching techniques as related to health andlifestyle improvement and change.Expert/proficient knowledge of nutrition and exercise as related to health management.Experience in working with individuals and groups of people in a health care setting.Required:Eexcellent communicator, both as coach and listener.Strong verbal and written skills. Organization and effective time management skills.Must have computer skills.Must be able to collaborate with other coaches and members of the office. Experience in working with individuals and groups of people in a health care setting. Education/
Experience:Required:BS or associate degree in health related field, such as Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Dietetic Technician, Health Education Licensure/Certification:Required:Appropriate licensure if required by law.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
