Description:
The programmer is needed to provide research, analysis, development, testing, documenting, and deployment functions for various Access database systems and associated reports. Contractor will also assist in the development of a new facility Tracking System which will eventually eliminate a lot of the current Access systems at the hospitals.
OBJECTIVES OF ENGAGEMENT
Responsibilities will be to:
Provide software development and phone support of Hospital Access systems to keep them up and running.
Conduct knowledge transfer activities with designated staff to keep these Access systems running and functional as determined by Hospitals to which it may be applicable.
Assist in the coding of new facility Tracking System
TASKS TO BE PERFORMED
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Assist in the development of the new Facilities Tracking System web project.
Phone and development support of Hospital Access systems.
Engage in knowledge-transfer activities Tracking System users and administrative staff which includes; analysis, modification, testing, and deployment of enhanced system to relieve immediate crisis.
Provide status reports and updates as required to designated Project Manager and supervisor.
Occasional TRAVEL for this Position
You MAY also be required to travel to various Hospitals as necessary to assess and observe system issues as they arise as well as conduct deployment/training activities. Mileage reimbursement will be calculated.
Required / Desired Skills
Access Database (XP/2002 and 2007) systems (Combined exp) (Required 5 Years)
MS VBA for both Access XP/2002 and 2007 (vb.net) (Required 5 Years)
SQL Server 2005-2008 functional/software use (Required 5 Years)
Microsoft Excel/Word (versions XP and Office 7) (Required 2 Years)
Microsoft Office XP Office 7 Suite Outlook for email correspondence (Required 2 Years)
Experience with change control procedures (DEV/SAT(UAT)/PROD) (Desired 1 Years)
Exp w/ SQL Server security configuration (Required 5 Years)
Experience w/ experience with MS Access pass-through queries (Required 5 Years)
Experience with DAO/ADO objects (Required 5 Years)
Exp w/ Active directory configuration (Required 3 Years)
VB.Net web development (Required 3 Years)
C#.Net (Highly Desired 1 Years)
