Job Description
Become a part of an innovative team at Ingram helping to revolutionize the way that publisher content reaches readers around the world! Ingram Content Group (ICG)is currently recruiting for aBI Software Engineerto join our business intelligence team inLaVergne, TN. This individual will join with other business intelligence team members in designing, developing and supporting custom business intelligence processes, tools and applications in support of both internal and external customers. An ideal candidate will be able to translate a deep understanding of business models into relevant solutions that identify opportunities, inform decision-makers and facilitate growth. This candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment that requires clear communication, balancing multiple responsibilities and coordinating with other teams.
Essential job duties:
Coordinates with users and product owners to gather requirements
Uses available tools to design, develop, test and implement processes and applications
Supports and maintains existing solutions
Works with team members to identify and enforce design patterns, standards, etc.
Explores new technologies and development techniques
Provides on-call support on a rotating basis for all production-related problems, including support during non-business hours. May be required to provide support as a backup to the on-call associate where key knowledge exists.
Minimum education and experience required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field OR directly related year for year experience
2 years of business intelligence development experience
3 years of experience in developing and querying relational databases(MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or any other relational database platform)
3 years of experience programming in a modern object-oriented language
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with front end web technologies: HTML, JavaScript (AJAX, D3, Ember, JSON), CSS
Experience developing and querying web services
Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services EC2, RDS and Redshift
Experience programming in C#
Experience programming in Python
Experience using Linux (Bash)
Experience developing and querying multidimensional databases

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
