QUALITY INSPECTOR

A manufacturing company headquartered in Thousand Oaks is in need of a Quality Inspector on a temp to hire basis. This position will perform a wide variety of quality inspection assignments to ensure product and process conformity and to contribute towards improving quality, increasing efficiency, increasing productivity, and reducing cost.
Job Duties:
Multi-task on a variety of Quality system compliance and improvement initiatives in a hands-on dynamic environment.
Contribute towards improving quality, increasing efficiency, increasing productivity and reducing cost.
Be involved with the inspection processes to support quality compliance.
Run reports and collect data to determine and report product quality trends.
Perform quality control inspection to achieve measured improvement.
Support the Quality system by following the policies, procedures and work instructions.
Support in managing Supplier Quality, Internal Quality and Field Quality.
Develop written procedures for routine job responsibilities.
Initiate and implement process improvement activities impacting cost, efficiency, and quality.
Contribute to manufacturing best practices by maintaining high quality, timely transactions, safety, standardized processes, clean and organized work area, and efficiency in tools, processes, and effort.
Other duties that may be required as identified by management to support operational objectives and corporate needs.
Required
Qualifications:
High School degree or 3
years of relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing / quality inspection function or equivalent in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Must have working knowledge of basic Quality principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Self-motivated with a proven ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work independently.
Effective analytical and communication skills.
Ability to cooperate with team members / leaders.
