Successful candidate will act as team lead and will assist, under the direction of the supervisor, to implement operating plans and coordinate training activities of department staff. Lead will be responsible for tracking and compiling productivity standards. Duties may include, but not be limited to implementing operating plans for the assigned area; assist in developing a work schedule that supports timely completion of daily activities; identifies resource requirements and reports staffing/equipment discrepancies to the supervisor. Lead may also be required to perform production work/duties during periods of staffing shortages. Lead will be responsible for tracking productivity and quality of assigned area, run appropriate and distribute reports to supervisor and management team. Duties will also include responsiblility for noting inventory discrepancies (shortages, overages) and assist management to ensure all safety standards and procedures are adhered to. Other duties may include assisting management with tracking employee time cards, vacation sheets and documenting absences and hours; advising supervisor of any performance issues with employees and work with supervisor to develop plan of resolution; assist the supervisor with training activites of assigned employees and cross training in different areas of campus for a more flexible work force.
Working hours: 6AM-3PM, M-F. flexible for OT
Job duties require high school diploma and 2-3 years warehouse experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have strong oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, proficient math and computer skills, leadership qualities, and knowledge of workplace safety procedures. PIT certification will be required.
