The Review Specialist is responsible for closely monitoring and confirming client requests and provides documentation of such requests. The incumbent will communicate any changes, updates or issues to Lead Review Specialist, Sr. Lead Review Specialist or Operations Manager.
Follow up on the status of medical record requests with personnel of provider sites;
Place calls to medical facilities to verify location information for Inovalon's medical record reviewers;
Document notes and make updates into a large electronic database of information;
Maintain established productivity standards;
Effectively communicate with medical staff regarding the purpose of reviews and/or answer general questions;
Communicate status of request and/or issue in fulfilling those request to team lead or operations manager;
Process and scan digital copies of received medical documents;
Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.
At least 6 months customer Service experience preferably in an office or professional setting.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
