The Role:
We are looking for a C+
Software Engineer with excellent programming and problem solving skills to join the compliance team.
The system provides the tools for real-time compliance checking, policy management, supervision, ingestion, indexing, searching and reporting. These tools are critical to compliance officers to ensure that their users are communicating and trading in a regulatory compliant manner. The system has approximately 2 petabytes of data and processes over 200 million/messages a day and is growing rapidly.
The ideal candidate will join a quickly growing agile team in the development of compliance products. Candidates should have a passion for technology and a flexible, creative approach to problem solving. They should be able to take ownership of business requirements and devise and develop solutions that meet customer needs. Some of the projects will include enhancements to existing services as well as supporting infrastructure that is currently in production serving internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a can do attitude, and will work independently to manage multiple projects.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or comparable experience.
- Solid C+
development experience is essential, as is exposure to the full software development life cycle, 2
years minimium.
- Experience with commercial relational databases and SQL.
- Strong familiarity with UNIX/LINUX development environment.
- Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills, with a creative and flexible attitude
- Desire and ability to share ideas, solid verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the Big data infrastructures (such as Hadoop, Solr, NOSQL Databases), compliance domain is a big plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
