Palace Gate Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Analyst, IT Security for our premier client in the manufacturing industry. This is a full-time opportunity in Westchester, IL.
Reports To: Senior Manager, IT Security and Compliance
Job Description
The Senior Analyst provides security administration of solutions in support of defined business requirements. Scope of the support includes the timely review and resolution of assigned tasks using experience and judgment in conjunction with instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The Senior Analyst is responsible for IT Security policies and procedures, providing support for audits, employee awareness training, Sarbanes Oxley reporting and other security support as necessary.
Technical Skills
The Senior Analyst, IT Security must have the following skills:
Strong conceptual understanding of information security theory.
Knowledge of security frameworks, such as COBIT, COSO, NIST and ISO.
Some exposure working with SAP security architecture a plus.
Strong problem solving skills with well-organized and structured work habits.
IT Audit experience preferred.
Education and Experience
The Senior Analyst must have the following training/ background:
Bachelors Degree required.
CISA designation or similar.
Critical Deliverables
Security Policies and Procedures: Assist in creation and maintenance of IT Policies and Procedures.
Audit Support: Support IT in the gathering of documentation for audit requests.
Reporting: Create monthly security reports for Sarbanes Oxley and coordinate quarterly testing for IT
Incident Response Planning: Coordinate and maintain the processes needed to ensure Incidents/outages/breaches are properly managed.
Security Awareness Program: Assist in the roll out and maintenance of a company Security Awareness Program.
Security Management: Execute tasks as a member of a project team as assigned by management. Reports on progress of assigned tasks as required. Completes required project documentation in a timely fashion as assigned.
Security Architecture: Assist in the development of security solutions consistent with business goals, risk tolerance and technological sophistication
Strategic Planning: Participate in planning, design and successful execution of IT strategic plans in alignment with corporate business strategies. Ensure that all technical infrastructure strategies remain aligned with overall IT strategy.
Risk Management: Understands the concepts of risk management within the context of business operations. Express risk concerns in terms of both technology and business terms.
Technologies: Assist in the efforts of designing and executing new initiatives resulting in effective and highly reliable solutions. Assist in ensuring that all solutions are implemented as specified in conjunction and compliance with all department policies and procedures. Research, identify, keep technically current and contribute new or improved technology ideas to solve specific business needs or risks and to keep our client competitive.
Relationships: Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers that will help facilitate effective communication of business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties represents the nature and level of work for the Senior Analyst, IT Security:
Assist in conducting access validation of all applications, discuss access issues and explain access rights.
Assist in the management of access rights and authentication methods to achieve business objectives and ensure compliance with industry standards; review user requests for access ensuring consistency with existing roles and access policy, troubleshoot and remediate issues
Assist with incident response including performing investigative follow-up, assigning responsibility for corrective action, and auditing for effective completion
Perform additional duties and projects as required
