Summary:
Provides individual and group psychotherapy and behavioral management strategies for clients and their families with traumatic brain injury and other neurological impairment in the area of psychological adjustment. Provides psychological or neuropsychological assessment; gathers test and behavioral data in coordination with the treatment team; ensures that the neuropsychological test data is utilized by team members in all aspects of the treatment program; presents the MS program to key community groups and referral sources; provides litigation counseling and legal testimony as requested; may participate in or initiate research projects; and may develop training opportunities for psychology interns/fellows.
Essential Job Functions:
1.Initiates and completes admission/referral evaluations, including a review of relevant history, personality and emotional status, and testing to sample cognitive strengths and weaknesses; individual and/or family counseling as appropriate; participates in all staffing and clinical service planning; translates test data into specific and relevant recommendations for rehabilitation treatment; for following the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability. Accountable for effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities and for completing responsibilities within designated (or agreed upon) timeframes. Completes responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals and values. 5.Responsible for the Accountabilities associated with this position in support of the organization. 6.Performs other duties as assigned.
Competencies: oMust utilize one or more Cerner applications to deliver and track patient care. Must complete a written Cerner application(s) competency assessment with a minimum passing score of 80%25%20or greater, dependent on the employee s job and department.
License, Certification, Education or
Experience:
REQUIRED for the position: oPost-doctoral training in neuropsychological assessment. oThree years of post-graduate experience. oLicensed as a clinical psychologist. oA broad exposure to behavioral and emotional problems, and clinical experience in brain injury rehabilitation settings. oClinical competency must be firmly established by employment records and recommendations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
