ZeniMax Media Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Animator to work at our ZeniMax Online Studios office in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
Responsibilities:
Create high quality animation content, primarily inventive creature and characters.
Collaborate with designers on solving gameplay problems while maintaining artistic vision.
Collaborate with character artists to develop character/creature models with proper proportions, mesh topology, and other animation considerations.
Contribute to the creative process with original ideas and inspiration.
Work with the Lead Animator to mentor junior artists.
Autonomous problem solving.
Requirements:
Minimum education requirement is a BFA with a major in Animation, additional related education a plus.
4 years of professional experience in the industry as an Animator.
Must demonstrate the ability to create excellent human character animation via professional demo reel.
Must demonstrate excellent creature/monster animation skills via professional demo reel.
Must demonstrate an understanding of animation pipelines and standard industry processes.
Must possess technical knowledge/abilities with respect to the implementation of animation into a game engine.
Extensive knowledge of 3D Studio Max, Maya and character rigging processes.
Deep understanding of anatomy and human kinetics, demonstrated through a working knowledge of martial arts, dance, or related experience.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of fundamental animation principles and the ability to clearly communicate those ideas to others.
Candidates must show an aptitude for learning new systems quickly.
Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating aptitude and skill creating monster characters as well as meet stylistic standard.
Candidates must pass test to demonstrate proficiency with software tools.
Candidates must provide a minimum of two professional references.
