Quality Coordinator

Design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing the quality control of cement.
Coordinate and implement quality control objectives and procedures to identify and resolve production problems, maximize product reliability and/or minimize costs.
Communicate with management to develop production and design standards.
Configure analysis plan on ABB Technical Information System Lab Information Management System under Holcim standards, as well as maintain lab test analyses sample records, and equipment calibrations in LIMS, and provide guidance and coordination to make the necessary adjustments to assure established quality standards are maintained.
Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to identify possible quality and process optimization and improvements.
Specifically perform continuous statistical analysis, correlation, regression analysis on Rapidlab and Minitab Statistical software on cement's raw mix design with optimization software in order to predict product performance.
Ensure cement production process is compliant with established safety and quality control procedures, including: ASTM standards for cement production, ISO 9001 quality management standards, and ISO 14001 environmental systems to ensure strength, safety, elasticity and workability of the product.
Monitor and maintain equipment for analysis of fuel calorific heat analysis, the sulfur and carbon determinator, particle size analyzer, and the limestone and raw mix and troubleshoot equipment problems.
Act as ISO auditor.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field, and 5 (five) years in job offered, or 5 (five) years of cement industry experience, with direct focus on quality assurance and quality control, and operational experience in a cement manufacturing facility.
Experience must include the following which may be gained concurrently:
Demonstrated expertise using SAP PP/PM modules and working with ASTM, ISO 9001 quality management systems, ISO 14001 environmental systems, and acting as an internal ISO auditor.
Demonstrate expertise providing quality support for new cement product development.
Demonstrate expertise in XRF, XRD, particle size analysis, clinker microscopy, kiln, combustion, and grinding processes, and quality control of Portland cement and Blended cements and working with MIC (mineral components) operations, clinker hydration, and the impact of different elements in setting time and strength in a highly automated cement plant.
