Sr. Thermal Engineer
We are looking for a passionate, hands-on, self-motivated senior electronics thermal engineer, who will be leading the development of next generation light driving circuits using state-of-the-art technologies in high frequency power electronics and ASIC.
Key expectations include:
Develop state-of-the-art packaging and heat-load management solutions for energy efficient lamps.
Coordinate and supervise thermal testing on complete systems
Act as the liaison between the power electronics and the product development group:
To ensure a smooth transition of the new technology to the product development team.
To provide support for resolution of product development design issues.
Communicate effectively to management about the status of the project(s) owned, including schedule, resource/equipment needs and risk assessment to complete product development activities in a timely manner.
Be flexible and a team player.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Document results and findings.
Minimum
Qualifications:
BSME, BSEE, or equivalent bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of hands-on product development experience in packaging and thermal management of electronics, ideally high-density Switched Mode Power Supply design or equivalent.
Experience with packaging power electronics and integrated circuits.
Very good understanding on the fundamentals of heat-load management.
Experience with modern modeling and analysis tools, such as Solid Works.
Passionate, creative, high-energy individual, who works efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and presentation skills.

Preferred
Qualifications:

Lighting packaging and heat-load management experience a plus.
Emphasis on 3D modeling, thermal analysis and design.
Experience in mixed-signal ASIC development.
Publications and/or patents in the area of heat-load management for electronics.
