Position Description:
The role of the Administrative Assistant is to provide office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects.
Reporting:
The Administrative Assistant reports to the Deputy Project Director
Job Tasks:
Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple team leaders.
Conducts data-entry for Resource Persons Network applicants; Works with Deputy Director to complete database updates on a yearly basis.
Responsible for updating NPA Resource Guide on a yearly basis.
Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results asEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
