Our client, located in Hamilton, NJ is seeking a Senior Java Developer for an immediate full-time position. Details include:
Growing software provider seeks a Sr. Java Developer to help evolve and expand company's core best in breed software applications for the supply chain/logistics market.
(this position does provide the ability to work from home a few days per week)
Candidate should come from a software development and product driven company and have commercial software development experience
Responsibilities:
-Design and develop mission critical industrial voice recognition applications. First-hand experience working with high volume applications where scalability and performance are critical for success in this position
-Participate proactively in project management meetings and status updates.
-Write design documents and convert design into maintainable code.
-Proactively work with the Quality Assurance group to ensure the written code is well tested and documented.
Requirements:
-Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
-Must have strong fundamentals in programming, algorithms and data structures.
-5
years of relevant experience in designing and developing packaged Software Products.
-Exhibit a deep understanding of Java technologies including knowledge of plug-in development, thread management, session management and MVC Architecture.
-Must exhibit deep understanding of common open source frameworks such as Hibernate and Spring Framework.
-Exposure to mobile/wireless applications and embedded systems is a plus.
-Exhibit proficiency with development tools such as Eclipse. Understanding plugin architecture is a plus.
-Familiarity with build engineering functions (using tools such as Maven, ANT CruiseControl).
-Well-versed in integration tools that implement mechanisms such as JMS, Socket programming, Web-Services etc. Must have exposure to integration toolsets like IBM Websphere, Webmethods and Spring Integration
-Ability to design, develop and unit test major modules of the product, working with product architects and product manager.
Experience with the following technology is desirable:
-JavaScript
-REST Web services
-MongoDB (and the NoSQL paradigm in general)
-Web development
-UI/UX design
-Amazon Web Services
-Eclipse, particularly the OSGi framework
-Agile development experience
