o Work closely with design, marketing and key customers in defining products that solve customers' technical challenges
o Engage in product validation and testing in customers' sub-systems
o Conduct system validation, compliance and interoperability testing against key industry standards
o Prepare customer collateral such as data sheets, application notes, test reports and training materials
o Develop high-speed evaluation modules to demonstrate product performance
o Provides critical customer support that includes review of customer designs and architectures; investigate and resolve any issues which may arise
o Develop sub-system demonstration platforms and customer reference designs
o Requires considerable interaction with world-wide customers and field staff; some international travel is also required
This position requires applications experience and system-level knowledge in multi-gigabit equalization techniques (CTLE, FIR, DFE, etc.) for equalizers, repeaters, retimers, and SerDes products used in data communication and data center applications.
Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate should have experience in most of the following areas:
o Experience in high-speed circuits such as CTLE, FIR, DFE, PLL, CDR, and SerDes
o Strong background in high-speed communication standards such as Ethernet, Infiniband, Fibrechannel, SAS/SATA, and PCIe

o Experience running system-level channel simulations with Agilent ADS, SiSoft QCD, HSPICE, IBIS-AMI, 2-D and 3-D board simulations.
o Ability to develop complex bench validation setups to perform system validation of high-speed products
o Customer support experience investigating and resolving customers' problems
o Schematic capture, board design, PCB layout and high-speed design techniques
o Published application notes and articles
o Strong communications skills: clear, concise, and complete documentation; effective and compelling spoken communication
o Software/scripting skills (GUI development, lab automation, Matlab, Python, Perl)
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a BSEE or equivalent with at least 5 years of engineering experience. This position is based in Santa Clara, CA.
