The position will be accountable for maintaining a secure organization through strategic alignment, structured governance, process operation and enterprise reporting.
About the role:
Seeking a Data Loss Prevention System Administrator for the General Motors Information Technology team. This position is responsible for the execution and support of GM IT Enterprise Sustain Services for Enterprise Security Tools. The System Administrator will be responsible for managing the global DLP infrastructure in support of the DLP Program.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Manage new DLP product rollout (from impact analysis to deployment)
Manage DLP lab environment
Ensure the global DLP infrastructure is operating efficiently (servers, collectors, agents):
Server installation and migration
Policy verification, tuning, troubleshooting
Purging
Policy creation
Application upgrades and patching
Application troubleshooting
Agent whitelisting and troubleshooting
Support tickets
Ensure the DLP application is in compliance with GM's policies and procedures
Support the DLP architect in DLP upgrades and expansion opportunities
Document the system settings used during deployment
Perform system optimization and tuning based on initial results of DLP software performance
Work with various IT teams to perform system, integration and performance testing
Support the integration effort with LDAP, web and mail servers
Support the testing effort for deploying DLP agents on laptops and PCs globally
Create installation and test scripts
Run data scans as requested by various stakeholders
Monitor and provide updates on respective data scans
Review database health (current & future)
Manage pre-production environment
Ensure IT Analytics infrastructure is operating efficiently:
Server installation
Cube management
Purging
Support tickets
Create policies in system (data at rest, data in motion)
Ensure policies are operating efficiently (periodic QA)
Provide data detection expertise for policies (scripting, flex responses, IDM, EDM, etc.)
Program and manage the Workflow infrastructure
Assist in remediation of issues identified during the DLP agent installation
Responsible for testing, packaging and handing of DLP agent/software to the GM deployment team
Responsible for service continuity, availability, capacity and that disaster recovery management plans are current with all risk identified and corrective steps identified where required
Qualifications
Skills:
Excellent problem solving skills
Have strong troubleshooting skills to quickly assess problems and develop resolutions
Strong knowledge of various operating systems
Able to identify and enable integration points between the DLP infrastructure and the GM IT environment
Correlate various sources of information and present appropriate conclusions
Ability to integrate new technologies into existing environment
Excellent verbal communication skills, including active listening skills, ability to illustrate abstract models using concrete examples, ability to facilitate discussion of diverse points of view while maintaining group focus on the subject at hand
Be able to work within a team environment
Experience and Education
At least 3 years of experience in an information security role
Minimum 5 years' experience in information technology
Three
years of IT Infrastructure Support experience in large corporate environments, deploying and customizing applications, Middleware or Information Security/Threat & Vulnerability system.
Understanding of IT Network concepts, SSL certificates and private keys is needed
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Security or associated field
Master's degree preferred
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred
Technical Skills
High level of knowledge with key technologies and architectures: JAVA, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL datasets, Linux, WebLogic, iPlanet Web Server, Single Sign-On, Secure Socket Layer, Global Personnel LDAP Directory, Enterprise Data Warehousing, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint
Experience working in a global IT environment
Experience with IT Analytics and other DLP related packages
Experience in writing/developing scripts
