Planner/Buyer - 1st Shift

Essential Functions:_
Performs the worldwide supply network planning process for assigned product groups also develops and coordinates the plant production plans and demand requirements of master scheduled items for these assigned product groups. Responsible for maintaining a proper balance of necessary inventories in line with production requirements. Focuses on driving improvements in the supply planning process and execution. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:_
1. Maintain open orders in the system and bring them forward in the production plan.
2. Maintains ongoing communications with manufacturing regarding schedules, materials, etc.
3. Process and distribute Experimental Orders.
4. Review system planned component purchases and convert them into vendor purchase orders.
5. Interact with supplier representatives on open order and change order deliveries.
6. Interact with manufacturing floor personnel and establish an internal network for feedback on low component inventory levels.
7. Co-coordinate with other Planner/Buyers on component demands and on finished goods shipments.
8. Coordinate inventory integrity with manufacturing to maintain system reliability.
9. Assist with compliance measurement reporting systems.
10. Support new and experimental product runs to include replacement or new components.
11. Other duties as assigned.
_Minimum Education:_
Bachelor''s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business
_Minimum
Experience:_
Minimum 3 years experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management environment
_Deliverables:_
Production system reliability and inventory integrity.
Master scheduling satisfies customer expectations and on-time delivery.
_Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:_
Proficiency in Planning/Buying knowledge, MRP/ERP knowledge, interpersonal skills,organizational skills, team building skills, Microsoft Word/Excel, and SAP knowledge
