Essential Functions
Position
Summary:
Reports to the laundry coordinator. Responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment, maintaining records of operations, and for the custody and discipline of detainees in the facility in compliance with Management and Training Corporation (MTC), Otero Country and the United States Marshals Service (USMS) directives.
Essential Functions:
1. Plan work schedules to meet all production requirements.
2. Operate laundry equipment. Performs routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
3. Perform test on was formulas.
4. Conduct training programs in all phases of laundry operation.
5. Provide the receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities, and implement inventory control procedures.
6. Maintain related records and preparation for related reports.
7. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
8. Maintain accountability of property and inmates/detainees; adhere to safety practices.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) experience in institutional operations, including experience in two or more of the following areas: quantity purchasing, receiving, inventory and shipping of supplies required. Valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Post Hire Requirements:
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
