Summary:
Provide services relative to purchasing, disposition and control of materials, material accounting, inventory control, equipment parts history, auditing, budgeting and reporting.
Responsibilities:
oSpecialized technical knowledge with function.
oPerforms a variety of technical service/support duties that are semi-routine in nature.
oPerform Shipping and receiving functions, check for correctness and damage or loss. Puts material into inventory and updates inventory software. Notifies requester of receipt of material.
oUsing PeopleSoft, prepare Purchase Requisitions for materials and services.
oEnsures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
oResponsible for procurement records and files.
oMaintain a clean and organized warehouse.
oProcess and code invoices through ImageNow system.
oPerform other tasks as assigned.
oRoutine and non-routine decisions with some latitude, but still subject to approval.
oWith limited guidance, prioritizes and executes responsibilities effectively for a single trade, group of related tasks or functional area.
oWork periodically reviewed by others; work reflects solid performance of duties.
oErrors have small and possibly incremental impact on department or facility.
oCompletes tasks and resolves problems that require an ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices.
oResolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
oAssist in preparing reports to facilitate monthly forecasting activities.
oWorks under general supervision.
oPrioritizes daily activities to complete tasks/projects assigned by others.
oMay assist with orienting and training employees in complex areas.
Requirements oHigh school graduate or equivalent, trade school, related military service training programs, or technical training school programs. Additional professional training preferred.
o2-5 years directly related experience in material control at a power generation plant or process plant.
oComputer skills required, Maximo and PeopleSoft experience a plus
oMaintain a valid driver s license. Occasional trips to various locations around the United States to expedite material or part acquisition.
oExtensive knowledge of Excel.
oBasic Accounting familiarity.
oExcellent communication skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
