Work as part of a team to configure, operate, maintain, backup, and administer a Database Server utilizing Microsoft SQL (current version MS SQL 2008 Enterprise R2 SP1) with Microsoft Windows Server operating system (current version MS Server 2008 R2).
Operate and maintain a front end, web-enabled ASP .NET application. Configure, operate, and maintain the SMS Database, the official database of record for Army professional military education, ensuring that data is stored and secured according to DoD regulations, the Higher Learning Commission accreditation policies, and in best practice with industry database management techniques. Coordinates network administration and performance requirements and is responsible for configuration management and documentation of the system. Plan for and provide reasonable responsiveness in terms of system performance.
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline. Must have experience with NET application development and MS SQL database management. Must have Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) or equivalent. Must have or be able to get a Secret security clearance.
