Summary:
The Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) works to promote safety, protect the environment, and conserve resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement.
If selected, you will routinely perform safety and environmental inspections of known or conventional oil and gas production, production operations and associated facilities, equipment and control systems and/or specifically designated portions of non-conventional safety and environmental inspections of oil, gas, and other mineral facilities and operations in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).
This position, at the GS-07, is a Level 11 training position and receives extensive on-the-job and formal training in oil, gas and/or other minerals operations and equipment; government laws, regulations and standards; BSEE Regional and District policy; and inspection guides and manuals which include procedures for conducting inspections. On-the-job training is provided by the supervisor, lead inspector and senior inspectors; formal training is provided by recognized reputable oil industry focused training institutions.
This is a Permanent, Full Time position.

GS-07: $39,179 - $50,932
GS-09: $47,923 - $62,297
GS-11: $57,982 - $75,376
Texas Salary Range Information:
GS-07: $44,172 - $57,424
GS-09: $54,031 - $70,237
GS-11: $65,372- $84,983
